How
did
you
get
involved
with…
or
what’s yer
involvement
with
the
Acid
House
scene
in
Blackburn?
Well,
I
was
going
to
the
Hacienda
Mon..
Wednesdays
Fridays
and
Saturday
nights
religiously
every
week
and
then
on
to
The
Kitchen
because
you
know
at
that
time
in
1988-89
the
clubs
had
to
close
at
2
o’clock.
So
we’d
go
to
the
after-hours
club
at
The
Kitchen
…
and
that’s
where
I
met
Tommy
Smith
who
was
from
Blackburn
and
we
got
really
friendly
and
then
we
ended
up
seeing
each
other
and
then
after
about
6
months
of
meeting
Tommy
I
ended
up
moving
to
Blackburn
and
moving
in
with
him.
And
Shack
the
DJ
at
the
parties.
And
just
just
go
over
what
The
Kitchen
was
The
Kitchen
was
an
after-hours
party
that
was
in
the
bullring
…
in
Hulme
which
was
it
was
inner
city
…
Manchester…
very
interesting
part
of
Manchester
very
rundown
old
flats
that
were
built
in
about
the
60s
70s.
It
was
kind
of
like
a
derelict
feeling
down
there.
Although
there
were
some
people
still
living
down
there
and
the
flats
there
was
2
flats
that
had
been
knocked
into
one
and
it
was
used
as
a
party
venue
for
after-hours
parties
…
after
the
Hac…
I
think
it
used
to…
it
was…
it started
off
as
a
recording
studio…
didn’t
it?
And it
got taken
over…
Yeah
it
did.
Yeah.
